Spice Girl-turned fashion designer has just launched her collection with a sportswear brand – Reebok. This time minimalism and elegance meet loose streetwear. Do you think that this collaboration will be a good one?
No doubt that you all know Victoria Beckham for being a fashion passionate and a great fashion designer. Our team loves her minimalistic and elegant style. We think that she always looks sophisticated, especially when she wears full head-to-toe black outfits. Apart from fashion she also enjoys working out at the gym quite a lot. We have heard that she works out two hours every single day. Wow, that’s impressive – isn’t it? According to Elle UK, Victoria Beckham wakes up at 5.30am. She then, starts with 7k on the treadmill, ‘a mix of uphill fast walking, jogging, running. “That’s the only time I watch TV; boxsets, documentaries and I look forward to it”! It takes 45 minutes then work out with a personal trainer; 30 minutes legs, 30 minutes arms, toning, and conditioning, then loads of planks and that kind of thing for my core’.
Well, everything makes sense now. If Victoria Beckham works out so much, she certainly needs some comfortable but still elegant sporty pieces. That is why she has been working with Reebok, are we right?
The whole idea of Victoria Beckham x Reebok collection was to create comfortable and modern clothes that people would like to wear for their workouts and still feel elegant and trendy. In the interview, Victoria Beckham said that she wanted to ‘mix the relaxed attitude of streetwear with the technical performance of sportswear, whilst staying true to the minimal aesthetic of my brand – and incorporating unisex pieces which was key for me when developing the collection.’
Except for some orange details, the latest collection is full of neutral colours. There are hoodies, sports bras, crop tops, bomber jackets, sweat suits and now very trendy, matching sets. The collection includes multiple pieces of accessories as well. All of them have Victoria’s and Reebok’s logos put together as their symbol of collaboration. You can now get the beanie hats, caps and backpacks. Moreover, Victoria Beckham made her dream come true and added shoes to the collection. As she told Vogue, ‘I’ve wanted to put a trainer in my collection for a long, long time, but it’s something that’s very specialised—I had to do it with a brand that had the technical experience and the know-how.’
So, now… No excuses ladies! We all need to get together and finally go to the gym. I am already dreaming of having this black and white set and going to a yoga class. Also, a good workout definitely won’t hurt us!!
